Description

The origins of Fort Biehler, originally named Fort Petersberg, lies in the late 19th century.  It was built as part of the Fortress Mainz - one of the strongest fortresses of Germany in those days - between 1880 and 1884.

Fort Biehler was a polygonal fort with the layout of a pointed trapezium.

This book describes in great detail the history of Fort Biehler as well as its architectural details, using almost 150 photos, plans, drawings and maps.  It is written in German.
