About field fortifications on the battlefield

The Belgian fortress-designer and - engineer Henri-Alexis Brialmont has published a huge amount of books about fortification, strategy, warfare and related subjects in the last part of the 19th century. His books on fortification belong to the "classic" works on the subject and are quite hard-to-find.

"La Fortification improvisée" is a lesser known book about fieldfortification. This book is the German translation of "La Fortification improvisée"!

The book contains detailed descriptions and theories on all aspects of fieldfortification and warfare, a.o. on earthworks and battery-constructions. The book is written in German and has 9 folding plates with drawings, plans and maps. The book is in VERY GOOD shape and quite RARE!!
