The West Wall - Volumes 1 & 2

This 2-volume work is - without a doubt! - THE BEST referencework published so far about the German West Wall / Siegfried Line.

Volume 1 is titled "Der Bau des Westwalls 1936-1945" - "The Construction of the West Wall 1936-1945". It describes the history and design and construction of the West Wall and is illustrated with dozens of photos and documents.

The Volume 2 is titled "Die technische Ausführung des Westwalls" - "The technical features of the Westwall". This volume is crammed with HUNDREDS of floorplans, technical drawings and photos and maps showing design and all there is to know about the technical characteristics of the bunkers and defences.

This 2-volume book is a massive (weighing about 7 kgs.!!) referencework, that tells everything you'll want and need to know on this defenceline. If it's not in the book - it's probably not important! All details on the bunkers, armament, armor, equipment, doors, etc.
