The book describes the history and architectural cahracteristics of the Stalin Line, a 20th century Soviet defenceline.
The Stalin Line was a Soviet defenceline constructed in the 1930's between - roughly - the Black Sea and the Gulf of Finland over a total length of ca. 1800 km. It consisted of about 3100 heavy concrete casemates, armed with anti-tank and heavy machineguns and underground tunnel systems. The book is written in German entirely and illustrated with ca. 300 photos, drawings, plans and maps. It shows the construction, armament and equipment of the Stalin Line as well as its role in battle. The book is in VERY GOOD shape, in fact it is AS NEW! |
