This volume describes the 8 forts, originally built in the 19th century, that were modernised after the experiences of World War One - the forts of Pontisse, Barchon, Evegnée, Fléron, Chaudfontaine, Embourg, Boncelles and Flémalle. In the book the forts are described in detail - their original design as well as the modernisations of the Interbellum. It gives a huge amount of information on architectural details, armament, equipment, optics, weaponry etc. The book is written in French entirely and is illustrated with HUNDREDS of photos, plans, drawings and maps. |
