The fortified position of Liege - Volume 4: the new forts

The book is the fourth volume in a series of books about the fortified position of Liege in Belgium. This volume describes the 4 forts that were built in the early 20th century as part of this position: the forts of Eben-Emael, Battice, Tancrémont (or Pepinster), Aubin-Neufchateau.

These 4 forts are described in great detail - their architecture and design, armament, armour, equipment, etc. But also: their role in battle when the German army attacked belgium in May 1940.

The book is written in French entirely and is illustrated with HUNDREDS of photos, drawings, plans and maps, that give the reader a unique insight in the history and characteristics of these forts - the book leaves no questions unanswered!
