The book is a beautifully illustrated history about the Atlantic Wall fortifications that were built along the coasts between Mont-Saint-Michel and Tréport in France - including the Channel Islands. But it is more: it is also a travelguide to the remains of the Atlantic Wall that are still present along these coasts. It shows the reader where to find these remains and what they were used for. The book is illustrated with a HUGE amount of photos - 220 in colour as well as more than 100 in black & white, 20 plans and maps. The black & white photos were taken during or right after the war, which makes a comparison between "Then & Now" possible. It is written entirely in French. |
