The second volume in a series of four books about the history and characteristics of the French Maginot Line.

The book describes the different elements of the Maginot Line - from the individual, relatively small and simple concrete casemates to the huge underground complexes. With many details on arms and armour, electrical equipment, communication-systems, etc.

The second part of the book describes the field fortifications that were part of the Maginot Line. Small fortifications of concrete and/or steel.

The third part of the book describes the artillery-units that manned the Maginot Line in the north-east.
