The book describes the history and deployment of the German First Tank Division in World War Two.
The First Tank Division is one of the most famous German tank divisions of World War Two. Present from the very beginning of the war in Poland in 1939, it was again deployed in the battle for France in 1940. After a short brake, the division was again part of a new offensive - this time in Russia, where they remained active until late 1942. They went to Greece in 1943, only to be (re-)sent to the Eastfront , from where they went to Hungaria and Austria where they were engaged in heavy battle until the end of the war. The book is illustrated with some 500 photos and maps. It is written in German as well as in English. It is in VERY GOOD shape - the original dustjacket has signs of wear to the upper edge of the front and-backside. |
