This is the very first book to describe the underground bunkercomplexes of the Obersalzberg in such detail.

As early as 1943 the Germans started the construction of a GIANT underground bunkercomplex, from where Adolf Hitler was supposed to lead his "Reich" when things got tough. With more than 5 kilometers of tunnels and shafts, the mountain was slowly turned into one of Hitler's Headquarters. From mid-1944 is was supposed to be operational.

After the war, the underground structures were sealed and covered up - and almost forgotten - the mystery remained.  The author of this book has measured and photographed the entire complex - often in extremely dangerous circumstances.  This book is the detailed history and description of the underground bunkersystems of the Obersalzberg - Hitler's last refuge.

The book is written in German and illustrated with HUNDREDS of photos, plans, maps and documents - mostly in full-colour!  A GREAT book!
