The book describes the bunkers built by the Germans in World War Two in Denmark and what is left of them.
The book is a fully illustrated volume on German bunkers in Denmark with introductory chapters on their history, classification and characteristics. The authors aimed at a complete survey of German bunkers, both constructed and still present. Only the lesser constructions, like the I.S.-Stände , made out of concrete blocks and the indeed poorly constructed naval batteries along the Kattegat, are superficially represented in sub-chapters. The first 15 pages or so tell the history and development of the German bunkers in Denmark. The next part of the book is about construction types, planning construction and constructors and defence units - artillery, infantry and operations. The book continues with a typologycal survey - illustrated with HUNDREDS of bunkerplans and photos - a listing of which bunkertypes and where they were built. Standard types and non-standard design bunkers. The last part of the book is a geographical survey of all coastal batteries, strongpoints, resistance points, etc. with all the types of bunkers built there. Illustrated with photos and maps. All in all: the definitive book on the Atlantic Wall in Denmark and a MUST for anyone interested in German bunkers!
